A powerful little book with unexpected insight on the source of health!

Derek Prince speaks from personal experience when he asserts that there is healing in God's word. He himself was miraculously cured of an untreatable condition by embracing the truth contained in Proverbs 4:20-22.
This thin volume goes step-by-step through that passage to explain how paying attention to the word of God and taking it in like medicine can be more effective than any drug or surgery in treating our diseases and physical disorders. A totally unexpected approach to physical healing--and one which is grossly neglected in Christendom. I recommend this book for anyone who struggles with chronic physical illness, as well as those who work in the medical field.

Will you take God's medicine as directed?

Derek Prince writes this little easy to read book based on Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV), "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." In this book, Derek shares his experience about his life as a "thinker" and a persons who reasons, and how as an army medical orderly in WWII he was struck with a skin disease while out in the desert and was in hospital for 1 year. Through that experience, he found God's medicine bottle for healing, and was personally healed by God.

Simple Prescription: God's Word

This is just a 60 page booklet, but it has a prescription for bodily health: read God's Word daily, and incorporate his Word into one's lifestyle.
Derek Prince (one of my favorite Christian writers), explains how he was able to overcome a chronic skin condition during his service in WWII by applying the principles in this booklet. First and foremost, God's Word is "taken" daily, close attention is paid to the Word, one submits (humbles oneself) to the Word, and the Word becomes part of the soul. "For they (the Word of God) is life unto those who find them, and health to all their flesh" Proverbs 4:20-22.
This is a very quick read, in fact, it can easily be read in one short sitting. The important thing, like any application, is to seriously consider the principles in this book and learn how to apply them to one's life.
